Through intellectual discourse concerning the standardization
of the Islamic yellow book or the intellectual heritage of classical
Islam, pesantren (Islamic boarding school) institutionalizes the
dynamics of its thinking. Islamic boarding school also continues to
move in building and shaping community attitudes to be more able to
stand on the dimensions of ethical/moral in its life. In this perspective,
undeniably, educational institution of Islamic boarding school has
adequately tested to survive, therefore it can move Islamic boarding
school up into a moral and spiritual ‘workshop’, as well as a center of
Islamic intellectual assessment and development of classical archipelago
as had ever reached its golden peaks in the Islamic world
civilization. This reality provides a strategic significance for Islamic
boarding school in the process of nation building. Therefore, with the
intention that Islamic boarding school is still survive (in the other
word, is not “dead”) and in prefenting that Islamic boarding school
will be left by its supporters of community, Islamic boarding school
must take anticipatory strategic measures. These are done, among
others is by doing the review for the management of Islamic boarding
school, even to perform reconstruction of managerial education if
it is required, regarding institutional systems, and other educational
facilities. This paper attempts to discuss and review issues relating to
the crucial reconstruction of educational management of Islamic
boarding school
